Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty: The Way Forward

Concluding a 10 month-long review, General John Shalikashvili released his report on the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) to the President January 5, voicing strong support for the treaty and outlining measures to build bipartisan support for it. General Shalikashvili is a Visiting Professor with the Institute for International Studies at Stanford University (CISAC). He was appointed 13th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by President Clinton in October 1993, and previously served as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe (SACEUR).
